Great service and fabulous food.
Food and service were excellent.
Very good food. Glad they did Happy Hour. Glad they did Restaurant.com otherwise the 6 of us would have went somewhere else.

Good table service very attentive server (Dennis). Food served promptly. Food served hot. We go to Backwater Jacks Restaurant on any Thursday when the restaurant offers diners their ‘Turkey Thursday’ special.
The food has been great! We are so appreciative of Chef, his care and consideration AND excellent cooking! Nightly regulars are very good. Nightly specials are interesting and creative offering great variety.

It was set inside a nice community. Need more signage to direct people into the restaurant. We were sat in a big room full of people stuck in the corner the only table of two. There were open tables outside and they would not allow us to sit outside. We think it was because we were non-residents. We had to wait 15 minutes to process our tab payment. The food was good but the rest was a hassle. Also this will be feedback to restaurant.com: you need to state in the terms that there is a $16 upcharge for non-residents added to your bill. This made our $25 certificate worth only $9.

dishes would have been half the price anywhere else, considering their quality. server was sweet but obviously new. nice atmosphere, pleasant staff.
Turkey Tuesday is the specialty day I like the most. Sage dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish, and several large slices of turkey are very delicious and satisfying... without my having to cook all day!

Our waitress, Alexa, was GREAT! The ladies that took our reservation were wonderful as well. That's what saved this trip. We were celebrating and thought we would go to Backwater Jacks because we had heard so much about it. What a disappointment. The Coconut Shrimp Appetizer was not completely cooked and we had to send that back. Although I asked to not receive a replacement, the Chef insisted on doing so and we accepted; the second batch was thoroughly cooked as it should be, but by that time I wasn't interested. I had a burger and it was "just a burger", no big deal, which one would expect at that exorbitant price! My daughter had a Crab Cake Sandwich and left most of it except for the top bun. My husband's meal was the best (Fish and Chips) and he had no complaint. Again, Alexa was most attentive and understanding. She saved this rating from being submitted as "Poor". When it came time to pay the bill, the Restaurant.com certificate was immediately accepted. I wanted to use a VISA Gift Card I had received that day, and poor Alexa couldn't get it to work in any way/shape/form. Since then I've validated today that the VISA Gift Card DOES WORK . . . . why it was unable to be used at Backwater Jacks is a mystery; which, then, caused me to charge over $100 on my credit card which I did not want to do. When asked by a friend today about our experience, my daughter gave Backwater Jacks Restaurant "Two Thumbs Down". I concur.
Food was great as was the service. Nice location by the water.
Waitress (I think her name was Louise) was awesome - very friendly. Food was excellent. And the chef even came out to meet us and ask how everything was.

Great atmosphere at the marina, good food, good wine and great waitress!
Happy Hour outside at 4pm - very relaxing on a beautiful day. Able to sample wine before ordering, but waitress didn't let us know the wine she recommended was $14/glass. We forgot to ask, and PAID the penalty.

while we only had drinks and apps during happy hour, it was very good.
Our server was great. I had the salmon excellent and cooked perfectly.Husband had a burger menu has as little of everything.
Great waiter. When asked about a seasoning used in the grouper tacos he said he didn't know but actually called me back the next day with the answer to my question. Now that's SERVICE!!!!!
The food did not have much flavor kind of blah. would not order again. I had seafood. Had heard the food is still not that good.
