Food and service were excellent! Went for the prime rib, but they were out :(, so settled on the ribs, ate every bite, and I am not a huge rib person. My husband loves their burgers. Nice neighborhood place.
Normally, I would give a higher rating based on previous visits to Buck's. However, this time our server appeared to be overworked, having to serve many more tables than usual, and her attitude was gruff and the service took longer than usual. But it was Valentine's Day, and the live music was really good for romantic dancing.
Buck's is the best! Great atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff.
Had a cosmo at the bar and it was excellent, also the chicken wings were delicious!!!

Gina our server was very attentive and efficient. She also has a great memory and always calls me the coupon man. Very diverse menu. I love their walleye and also ordered the frog legs as an appetizer for everyone to try. Everything was cooked just right. Alcohol is very reasonable too with a nice pour on the wine we ordered. Great prices on the food too.

Smaller local restaurant that was fantastic! Super service and the food was all extremely good.. We all needed take home boxes as the sandwiches were big! We also had cheese sticks and onion rings..Wish it was in my neighborhood! I would definitely be there regularly!

We really Enjoyed talking to the three guys at the bar. Paul, Jay and Jerry at the bar. Service was impeccable
My daughter was a bit sceptical when I suggested the BBQ Ribs because they were not up to par at our last visit. She decide to order them and was very happy she did as they were excellent and we have been used to in the past. My double pork chop dinner and my wife's shrimp were very good as always.

Always enjoy the Sunday chicken special, especially because we get to visit with our favorite server Linda -she’s the best. Our last visit marked the third new family we’ve introduced to Buck’s and, as with the others, they loved it. They will be back and so will we.

Linda is a dynamo. Can run circles around others we have had. I was given 2 legs instead of a thigh on a fried chicken dinner- easily corrected. One of the few places we dine at that does not do free refrills on soft drinks which sometimes I need just another ounce or two. I have to be selective when eating out since I am on a senior budget and support 24 cats (not THE cat lady), Weds chicken dumpling soup always great - could have that every day! Still think the rolls could be fresher - but save that for another day! The View on 89th & Harlem serves an Italian loaf which is to die for. Burgers are great! Getting hungry .....

Normally my wife and I really enjoy a visit to Bucks, last night they were not up to par, perhaps that was due to the fact that they were very crowded.My wife and I had the pork special, food was OK but the my meal was not what I ordered. My daughter ordered the ribs which we brag to others about. Last night her ribs were a bit fatty and the sauce seemed watery. Her meal did not come as ordered either. don't know if this was due to waitress or cook?

I love going to Bucks, but next time I will avoid the Bingo nights. They only had 1 girl working the whole dining area and it was crowded. I don't know if it was exceptionally busy this day but if it's that crowded, why wouldn't you have more servers? She did the best she could but I'm sure she was overwhelmed. Of course, I always give over 20% tip, but I heard others complain and that they weren't going to leave a tip - that's not right. 1 person can't work 15+ tables at once - it was crazy.

Every time we go to Bucks, I always ask to be seated in Dawn's station. Dawn is my go to server since she is always provided top quality service. Dawn's experience and service far exceeds any other's server in this Restuarant. She is always accommodating and friendly and always has a smile.

The Prime Rib dinner here is the best ever. Baked potato, salad, and green beans with onions and mushrooms. We also had a desert. Cinnamon Chips with vanilla ice creams with chocolate drizzle. Oh what a dinner and desert.
They were real busy and waitresses didn't have time for excellent service. The hostess had to help them out. My second fish on the fish fry was almost burnt to a crisp. The next one was a lot better after waiting 10 or more minutes. The inland salad was excellent.

I had a special and it was very good. My husband had the perch and it wasn't as good as it used to be - it seemed to be deep fried, rather than pan sauteed, as stated on the menu.
Buck's has the feel of a Wisconsin "Supper Club", while conviently located in suburban Chicago. Nothing fancy, but the food is really good.

Our server was friendly and helpful. Food came quickly. I had the walleye, which was very good. The others had the fried chicken. One dinner was not hot, so we sent it back & it was replaced immediately with hot chicken.
Our service was not very good. She brought the wrong sandwich to one person. Messed up the drink order. Didn't remember to bring two drinks and forgot to bring ketchup and mustard when asked twice.

My husband and I usually enjoy dining here so when we had family visiting we wanted to take them here for a good meal. We were very upset when halfway thru our meal 2 guys set yp there instruments complete with speakers and started singing this was the eqivalent of 3 booths away from us. It was so incredibly loud we could no longer carry on a conversation with anyone at our table. We asked our waitress if they could turn it down and she said no. Im not sure we will be back it ruined our plans of havibg anda nice dinner and catching up with our family .Very disappointed

We go to Bucks on the 1st or 3rd Wednesday of the month. We go then for the entertainment. Jimmy Libera is a fabulous entertainment. A singer for all ages. He is a must to see. Also on Wednesday, Bucks has fried chicken that is great.

Sat at the bar on Saturday and was met by the bartender, who introduced herself as Dawn. Wonderful attitude,knew so much about the offerings and was simply a delight to converse with. Very friendly to all the patrons. A real plus for a small neighborhood gem. I certainly will be back more often than in the past, and certainly on Saturdays!!
It is directly connected to a sports-ish bar, but the restaurant was quite family-friendly. The food was terrific! Don’t miss the BigWheel appetizer for a large party - the fried green beans were delicious, as well As everything else. Tenger, juicy ribs, and we had great fried shrimp, too! Salads (Caesar, too!), other fresh fish options, and prime rib offered on weekends. Great meal, superb service!

Bucks has an appetizer called the wheel, and it has a wide variety on it and is very good! We have always had great service and great food. They offer a large variety on the menu, something for every taste!

We order the prime rib. I like that I have a choice of two vegetables, especially one is steamed, nothing on it, no sauce etc.
Did not like husband and myself split a tuna sandwich and a combination appetizer. The tuna sandwich with homemade potato chips were both terrible and we only took a bite or two from both and left rest on plate. Appetizer was very good though. Waitress was very friendly but never once asked us about our tuna sandwich and chips left on our plate.

My dinner came to the table cold and I had to send it back to the kitchen. Also,tried to order some appetizers listed on menu at half price but told they were only for eating at the bar. That is stupid since they were on menu and I had ordered dinners as well.

Were do I start, I was served cold cream of mushroom soup. I also ordered some food to go, which was brought with the food we ate in ( the waitress said you are going to have to heat it anyway, REALLY, who said I wasn't take it to someone to eat immediately with no microwave? My grandkids ordered Chicken tenders and they were way over cooked , I ordered pork tenderloin and it was tough to cut. The first few times I ate there the food was good, but each of the last 3 times the food has been getting worse.

We were at Buck's on a Saturday night. It was busy but we still received good service. I am a "fussy" diner. I like my food on separate plates and they always comply.
Wasnt restaurants fault just a very loud group of diners in the upper room where the acoustics r bad to begin with.

Nice place for enjoying friends, fun car/racing theme. They have booths and tables, full bar and you can have a small banquet room if your group is large enough. There are a large volume of seniors that come to eat and socialize so it is not quiet when you get a group of people who may be a little hard of hearing or just love the sound of their own voice. Usually it costs less but there was a lot of alcohol this visit.
so nice to spend money at local small business, NO fast food, local people I never met but smile and say HELLO....great food , great service,dont know about serving large groups, but we bring new customers there a lot and they like it

We always ask for Dawn as our waitress however yesterday we were informed she was not available to serve us. The dining room was crowded and she would have been an asset to the restaurant in taking orders and serving food. Like to see less fried/breaded meat/fish on your menu. Way too noisy for any conversation while dining. On the positive side; your staff pours a nice glass of wine. If improvement happens; we may visit Bucks soon.

Great food. We had the burger and Sunday fried chicken special. First time there and we will definitely be coming back again.

The food is delicious and ALWAYS homemade. Very friendly staff and the owners Diane and Buck are delightful and are often at the restaurant. I'd give it ten stars if I could.

just nice local place, not crazy loud,clean,centered around local history of NASCAR racing,but NOT bunch a of loudmouths or noise. food is always great priced well,service was fine and not pushy to move you out. a little out sight but a great family place where locals eat and you should also!

Great place friendly staff, great food, great service. We usually eat at the bar on a Friday night and Barb takes great care of us as she does with everyone. I highly recommend Bucks however leave room for two at the bar.

The garlic salad dressing was watery and tasteless. The pork chops were overcooked even though I mentioned to the waitress when ordering that I was concerned about overcooking and having them a little pink was OK. A prime rib was tough to cut and chew for another diner. The manager did try to make amends with a $50 dining coupon. They do have good burgers there and that is what we will limit it to if we go back.

We have not been to this restaurant in a long time. It use to be fabulous. Dont know if it is under new ownership or what but the prime rib was nothing like we remember it. Very tough and horrible.

Steak sandwich was well done, not medium. The pork chops were not tender and the barbeque ribs were cooked too much, fell off the bonds. It's not fun eating ribs if you can't chew the ribs.

Service was poor. Our waitress was overwhelmed, there were 4 tables of guests and every other table was dirty. The bartender was too busy going out to smoke every 10 minutes to assist.
Normally when we done at Buck's Nicole takes care of us. She can handle the bar and dining room on her own. Our waitress today struggled with a couple of tables.

All five of us had the prime rib special. It was good and all cooked to our liking. Portions were generous. Included soup or salad, potato, and veggies. We were seated in the back dining room with traditional banquet decor. The main restaurant is diner style and very casual. Race track decor with a bar.

Dawn, our server, is the best in the restaurant. She is always prompt in greeting us at our table, bringing our drinks and food in a timely fashion, and is very pleasant all the time! I will only sit in her station.
We had a new waitress who had to ask others about every question we asked. Menu was confusing regarding specials and when they were offered. We were told the veggie choices listed on the menu were not available. Many disappointments on this visit! Won't be returning any time soon.

If you like a Southern Comfort Old Fashioned Sweet, they have one of the best. I also like their salads.

service was slow, char raw onion provided but I asked them to grill the onion that came with burger and they added a $1.00 to the bill without telling me it was an up charge for it being grilled.onions

We brought our family of 11 for my husband's birthday celebration. The menu offered something for everyone, including four kids. The fried chicken special was a big hit as was the steak sandwich, chicken rice soup, and bbq ribs. Janna gave us excellent service and Kelly at the bar kept the drinks coming. Great place. Definitely a bar with a very small area set aside for dining which we were seated in and there's also a much larger added-on dining area. After ordering server brought basket with 2 little cold rolls, crackers, butter. Had 1/2 slab rib dinner. Very tender. sauce....ehhh, tasted bottled. Huge baked potato done well. Salad that came with meal was literally nothing more than iceberg lettuce. Partner had shrimp dinner. Nothing special. Waitress pleasant but neutral. Never checked back until check and needed water. May be because it started to pick up and it looked like she was the only server. Not sure it would go back.
We have eaten at Bucks Several times. Service is always great, food is delicious, and reasonable. I would highly recomend eating at Buck's!
we ordered prime rib. I couldn't even chew mine. My husbands wasn't as bad. Took home and was better for my husband the next day but mine was still tough. Won't order again.Have had other meals that were better and cheaper.

Last time we went to Buck's we brought 7 relatives from my husbands side (unfortunately we didn't have a Restaurant.com certificate that day) They all loved it. This time we brought my mom and sister. Both times all the food came out at the right/same time and was excellent. I liked the waitress we had this time better than previous visit(Sorry- I forgot her name). She was friendlier, and came back to check on us more frequently.

Waitress was very accommodating as we changed seats 3 times due to cold drafts. Food was excellent, service great, was super glad they still honor our certificates.

We live 3.5 miles away and never knew this place was there till I saw it on Restaurant.com. We shared the Cheese Curds and for dinner ordered Fried Shrimp, Frog Legs and the Steak sandwich. They were all very good and we'll certainly be going back.

We weren't sure what to expect. From the outside, it looked like a diner/bar. We were pleasantly surprised at the pleasant atmosphere, it was extremely clean, service was fast, a little faster than we would have liked, but the food was very good.

It seems most items are prepared to order and not just dropped from a frozen bag into a fryer or pan. Our server was Nicole and she was full of energy and was a genuine plus for the restaurant.
