Good food, portions are plentiful, friendly staff.
The food & ambiance was awesome by itself...& the service was as good as the food. The young lady who was our waitress was so interactive & fun, it made the dining experience one that we want to repeat soon.

Our waitress was friendly enough, however there was another employee/owner in the restaurant that felt the need to criticize her in front of us and the rest of the customers. It was very uncomfortable and I do not know that I could ever work or support a establishment that treated the employees like that in front of other guest. If you have a conflict take it behind doors, this ruined our entire experience. I cant imagine what it did for the waitress.

They were very busy on Saturday evening but the food came out hot and tasty as always.
Both the chicken fried steak and the chicken fried chicken were excellent! And the onion rings were too! But too much food; we will get another meal out of our take-home.
Food was good as always, brought my husband here for the first time and he absolutely hated it and couldn't finish it. Guess it just depends on your taste buds, usually in the pickier one too!

This is a small little café on the town square of a small little town. Great country home style cooking! I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn which were excellent!

This is a hidden treasure. Would never have found Cattleman's Cafe if it had not been for Restaurant.Com. The food is great and my husband loves the coconut cream pies. Always get a pie to take home.
we love the service and the cowboy them and the real cowboys who also eat there. Lot's of farmers and their wives. Just a great drive from McKinney to Blue Ridge.

Old style cafe with wonderful service and good country style food. We dined around 7:00 PM on a Friday evening. No waiting.
The food was obviously frozen and powdered. The food was awful: frozen hash browns and biscuits and powdered gravy served cold. I certainly could have stayed home and had better.

Food wasn't as good I I usually get there. Maybe it was just the size of the party.
The ribeye was half gristle/half fat. The chili was right out of the can and not even warm. The BLT was TINY and had almost nothing on it. The onion rings were very good. We have been eating at Cattleman's about once every year or two since the 70's....it used to be wonderful but the last few visits get progressively worse. After tonight we won't be going back.

It was a cute small town cafe. We had 2 major problems with Cattleman's Cafe 1-we never got a ticket that had our order broke down,just a credit card charge for the whole amount. This is important because 4 dinners @10.99, 3 waters and 1 Pepsi should not total to $57. 2-the food was bland as if cooked with no seasonings. Once we put salt and pepper on it,we ate it
Its a small restaurant with a home-like atmosphere. The salad is very fresh, the lettuce tastes like it was just brought in from the garden! Very simple (no tomatoes) but very tasty anyway. I had the catfish and my husband had the prime rib both meals were excellent, hot, fresh, and cooked to order. Don't leave without trying the lemon meringue pie! We also shared the fried mushrooms appetizer, all was great and more than two people could eat. Bring your appetite!

First thing their pies are to die for...Now that you know that its time to tell youthat their food is the best. Chicken friedsteak is known to be the best you can get.You can't come once..your wife won't let you.

Food was not tasty and was overlooked. We asked for an appetizer that we never got. Salads were just lettuce and dressing. Brown gravy had no flavor. We will not be back.

It seemed to take too long to get our food out and appeared that a couple that came in after us, but ordered the same thing, got their food ahead of ours. So that was a little upsetting. Other than that, the food and atmosphere were both good.

Eat at many similar type of cafe's in small towns with much better food & service. Veggies were cold, food not very good, & waitress was extremely inattentive.
Teryaki Chicken was not good. First preference (catfish) was not available. Vegetable seasonings were very bland. Not very impressed with the food. I bought two coupons. I'll given it another try.
The fried pickles were fabulous, the chicken fried steak was very tender and absolutely delicious, and the service was very friendly and efficient. Thanks for a great lunch!

Cattleman's is an icon in Blue Ridge, TX. The place has changed owners a time or two but the quality of the food and service remains the same...excellent. This is down home cooking at it's best.

I live in Dallas and stop there when I had enough of the big city restaurants. Great food and wonderful service. Also a nice little drive to enjoy. Don't be skitish by the outside appearience. Ot really add to the experieince. Enjoy!!!
