Every dish was delicious and a joy to experience. they had both Peruvian and Mexican food choices but we just ordered the Peruvian dishes. Nice informal setting.
it is a very small restaurant and very noisey. it was hard to hear the livemusic and have conversations. the food and service were great

He was polite enough and he got us the food we ordered but I didn't feel warmly welcomed. He was neutral to whether we were happy or not. Did not check on us.

The food was tasty though portions were not that big considering the price. The girl bringing the chips and salsa was very nice but our waiter was abrupt and not at all friendly.

The food was very good including the dessert. There are no televisions in this restaurant which we all liked and they play a nice selection of music instead. It was nicely decorated and very clean inside. As Arnold once said, "I'll be back".
Comfortable staff service - always friendly and efficient. Any menu item we have had so far has been so delicious and well-crafted. The restaurant is right in our town, and the parking is very do-able.
Restaurant was fill to capacity and we had to wait 10 min for table to open up. 2 waiters and the owner were busy with a full house ,that service was slow. Our waiter had to be reminded on several occasions for water refill and hot sauce. The food was tasty but the beef in my lomo saltado was overlooked . The rest of my family enjoyed their taco dinner.

the arroz con mariscos was the best dish I have eaten in many a moon. the seafood was not overcooked, tasty sauce. huge portion. Flan is mouth watering. ate 1 per person & took 1 to go. YUM!

Ive Ordered Peruvian style seafood sauté, yummy.This time, I tried the Peruvian fried fish, excellent, and I like the salad side that was with the entree, different, Peruvian dressing...
The staff was very friendly and explained the dishes in detail. Service was excellent as was the food. We were invited back for a celebration next week with complimentary cocktail. Looking forward to a return visit. Very casual atmosphere.

Server helped us order. Very good Peruvian. Table was a little wobbly. Now that I think of it, should tape the piece of plastic under the leg that was short so that the table wouldn't wobble if accidentally bumped.

I did not know thie place is almost first food look.With this kond of atmosphere, some dishes are over chagred, wjat we thought.We drove from San Jose to be there. But, near my house there is better place and better food.

A small and very nice informal place to dine. Great selection of items to choose and try. We had the Paella, chicken salad, half carafe of sangria and shared it all.Great night out. I believe they still have live music on the weekends. My wife and I enjoy the very friendly atmosphere.

The Paella and Fajita combo are servings for two and provided the four of us with an excellent sampling of their Specials listed on the board. We watched the SF Giants in the 2nd game of the NLDS for part of the time. Great Food!! Our friends and I will go again to experience some other recommended dished by the Matriarch of the establishment.
I love the food at this restaurant but the service could be a little better. We were waiting for 20 minutes after our table was cleared for the check.
We enjoyed several new dishes. Both we very good. The next time, we will order the "House Specials". We did not notice them prior to order. Unfortunately all are in Spanish and no prices are listed. Some dishes we are familiar with and will order the Pallea ($24) for two the next time.

So glad we'd finally gave El Toro Loco a try, was delicious! Great service, loved the beef kabob, seafood dish was yummy, and fried fish was great,& dessert (flan)was incredible, got to go back for other dishes!!
WOW WOW WOW! Super delicious! The seafood soup was amazing. My husband loved his mixed Peruvian platter and my son said the steak was really good. The service was good too. I suppose the what sticks in my mind was the quality of the food (very high & fresh). My husband commented that he enjoyed his meal more than he had in the resent "fancy" restaurants he'd been to.

Awesome food, not the greatest ambience - it's a hole in the wall and it's cold - no heater but the food is always fresh and makes up for it!
Honestly, we would not have gone to this restaurant if it hadn't been for the great reviews and the coupon. It doesn't look inviting from the outside, but it's excellent and we'll definitely go again.
El Toro Loco is a great neighborhood restaurant - the owner, Jose really cares about his customers and always comes out to say hello. His food is consistently good with lots of variety. The place is family friendly and there is live music a few nights a week - very enjoyable experience!

I am glad to see that the place was crowded and that business has picked up. The owner is a good person who cares about providing good food. His brother plays music providing entertainment. I recommend El Toro Loco for good Mexican and Peruvian food.
Normally I like a lively crowd, but it was so noisy I could barely speak to my wife over the din. There was a keyboard player in direct competition with a large birthday party of about 12 adults, and it was very hard to hear each other. Everyone had to speak in well above normal tones!
We would visit El Toro even if we did not have the redemption coupon. It's local, food is excellent and staff friendly and very acomodating!!!!
Always enjoy the live music and tasty dishes. Suggestion is that the server(s) be a bit more aggressive with their specials; perhaps they could speak of them during the order-taking. There is a "Specials" board in an obscure location, difficult to read. Other than that, always a nice dining experience.
It took about 40 minutes to get our food.
