It took 10 minutes for someone to greet us. .The server would rather pay attention to her friends or guests she knew

Service was slow, especially coffee refill. We arrived about 1215 on Saturday and the restaurant was not crowded. We were promptly seated. One party's breakfast - eggs were cold and Belgian waffle was not thoroughly cooked. Our server did return with replacement/warmed breakfast. I believe we were overcharged for two items @.99. These were the onions/peppers and mushrooms for my build your own omelette. Did I misunderstand that these should have been included in the $8.79 price of the omelette. The coffee was great!!

my 7 yr old's classic hamburger was pink inside, the fries were extremely cooked and very crispy. I was not offered another hamburger, until Mgr stepped in. Waitress was not polite, the Sprite tasted horrible, like dirt. We dined on Tues, pm, which was kids eat free, however, the portions are too small to fill my child up, so ordered a regular burger for him.
The breakfast was GREAT! I REALLY enjoyed the Big Steak Omelette!
IHOP was very busy as to be expected on a Sunday morning. The service was good, however, when we went to pay the bill some of the employees started to fuss among each other and display a lot of attitude. This inappropriate behavior was occurring in the very small lobby that was overcrowded with at least 30 people. They bickered back and forth forcing us to stand there awkwardly until they finished so that we could close out our bill. The waiters were polite though.
the food was great. server was nice. i wrote tip to be added to bill because i didn't have cash on me but it seem the cashier didn't notice and only authorized the food amount. I realized when I got home. I felt bad for the server.
The waiter was very friendly and efficient. Food tastes great and came out quickly but not so quick that it seemed microwaved!

The food was okay. The strawberry shakes were great. And the sampler appetizer was very good. We ordered two (2) fish and chips meals. And one of my wife's pieces of fish was overcooked. And the fish was bland! However, the service was VERY good! Our server (Kim) was AWESOME!!
Service and staff were wonderful. Food was mediocre. One glass of a house red wine was $9.

Our server (Jeremy) was AWESOME! Have was very attentive. And on top of all of our needs and requests. I REALLY love the Apple Cheesecake French Toast. I know it's seasonal. And only available for a limited time. But I wish they would make this a permanent menu item!
IT WAS MORNING RUSH HOUR. SERVICE WAS GOOD
We had an elderly person in our party who walks with a walker and requested a table near the door. However they seated us in the middle of a very congested restaurant where she had difficulty getting in and out.
Waitress cheerfully corrected any problem.

The other server who is not our server was more efficient and gave us the missing drink my grandson ordered. After this was delivered, that's when our server came with the drink, more than halfway through our meal. We ordered take-out. I ordered the Swedish crepes and the lingonberry sauce wasn't there. I placed the order on the phone and never asked that the berries be excluded. It's part of the meal!
The cashier was rude.
We were seated and serve fairly quickly at a busy time.
When things are slow at this location the food is cooked 300% better and I have a more enjoyable time

The service was great and so was the food. It's hard to go to IHOP and not order the pancakes but they offer a really nice healthy and fit choice selection as well.

I made a mistake of ordering hashbrowns instead of red potatoes, our waiter offered to bring me an order of red potatoes. She was very kind and friendly!
I don't like their new menu. No variety! And they took off the best thing on the dinner menu, the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich.

Good food, convenient location, good service
The server was making excuses for the slow service, then he started giving me a bunch of mouth. The pancakes were not hot the butter didn't melt and I had to send back my over medium eggs, the whites weren't cooked they were very runny.
Our experience at the Dumfries IHOP was excellent! We highly recommend this restaurant!

We went to the same resuturant last weekend and were very disappointed in both the service and quality of food. But this visit was good and renewed our faith!
Waiter took drink oder then took 10 minutes to give us water. Different waiter took our order & told us the soup we ordered would come with the meal and not before it. We told him that we wanted the soup before the meal - he brought mine but not the other persons. We had to ask again for his soup.
The waitress was great. The food was very good.
Our waitress (Sonya) was OUTSTANDING! This location is especially busy on Sunday's. But she was able to multi-task and take care of several tables at once with ease! I am going to request sitting in her section every time we visit.
It was really early am 530 on a sunday.. We had our breakfast and talked until 830am. Not once did the waitress refill our waters. I had finished mine by 7am.. I shouldn't have to ask.

My overall experience was good. However, the service was bad at first. The first waitress came by my table and took the drink order. It took a little over 10 minutes or so to bring the drinks. I was getting ready to give my order and she cut me off. She said I will be back. I just looked at her and said okay. She continuously passed my table for over 15 minutes and did not bother coming back. Another waitress saw me trying to get the first waitresses attention and came over to serve the table. She apologized and said that she was very busy, however she would take my order and try to get my food out as fast as possible. Many thanks to the second waitress! She made a horrible dining experience turn into a good one.

Our server this time was very good. The last time we went to IHOP we sat at the table for 15 minutes and no one even greeted us. so we left. We gave them another chance and our server was very nice.
They actually lost my daughters order and then didn't even have the courtesy to come and keep us informed of the error. Only after seeing others who came in after us receive their food and go and ask questions did they bother to inform us of the issue. They didn't even offer a discount for the inconvenience.
This location was understaffed, slow service, Food was cold and incomplete. No contact from a manager. Have been here before and was ok, must have been a bad night.

Kitchen was a little forgetful but it in no way made our experience a bad one. The server more than made up for the kitchens mess ups.
I generally like IHOP. We were one of 4 parties in the restaurant so there was plenty of staff but the service was ridiculously terrible. Food took over 30 minutes (how long does it take to make pancakes and eggs?) Waitress never came to fill water, clear plates...nothing.
It took just over 30 minutes for our food to be served. My tilapia was served as a half portion, then a second half portion was served about 10 minutes later on a salad plate and was in small pieces rather than as a fillet. The salad arrived with the second portion of the tilapia. The server was apologetic.
Great service; not too crowded; quick serving; courteous and pleasant server. Quick seating and quick eating. With 4 small kids--that's super!
