Located just to the north of New York City, in Westchester NY, NoMa Social takes a cue from NYC destinations such as SoHo and TriBeCa. NoMa means North of Manhattan; Social conveys a setting in which to enjoy a comfortable, interactive dining and drinking experience, enhanced by live entertainment and late-night dining/dancing on Friday and Saturday evenings. Uniquely designed into a 3,000 square-foot environment seating 125, the library decor is rich in warm purples and grays to create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Numerous couches in various sizes and low cocktail tables are conducive to dining and conversation, with traditional seating also available. The menu, created by Executive Chef Bill Rosenberg, offers entrees and an array of Mediterranean-style small plates for mixing, matching and sharing. Selections include organic, sustainable meats, fish and local produce and a Tapas bar, with suggested wine pairings. The kitchen features a Spanish Plancha, where most food is cooked, and a wood burning stove for pizza and flatbreads, plus the preparation of whole fish and delicious fresh, organic meats. Beverage selections include specialty cocktails, with some, for the health-conscious, under 150 calories.

The decor and ambiance are very good. But their food is simply outstanding. This time I had the linguini in clam sauce and my wife had Paella and we were both very satisfied. Great taste due to a perfect combination of spices, fresh seafood, big portions, and reasonable prices. Friendly and very attentive service during the whole evening. Terrific!

It was the first time for the four of us. The food was wonderful, fresh and prepared in a very interesting way. The only thing I would recommend is that it should have been mentioned that the Octopus, was very spicy (hot)--ok for me, but a bit too hot for the other 3 . Also, my salad came with dressing on it instead of on the side, but they were very accommodating in preparing another salad for me. We will definitely return.

The food, just like last time, was wonderful: the portions were perfect, the presentation beautiful. However, last night's service detracted from the overall dining experience. The workers (mostly female) were more intent on congregating near the bar and talking than attending to our needs.

Nice decor - does not feel like a hotel restaurant AT ALL! Very NYC vibe. Tapas yummy but sangria was not stellar. The flatbread tuna pizza was fabulous as was the patatas bravas,, crochetas and calamari tapas. Dessert was awesome!! dont miss the nutella crepe. Our server was delightful but I wanted to slow things down a bit. Overall a very good experience.

Service was excellent, we were engrossed in our conversation. We paid the check with a $50 bill and left another $5 for the tip in the bill folder. However, after leaving the restaurant we realized we did not get our change back. We immediately returned to the restaurant for the change. The waiter told the owner/boss he definately had given us the change, which was not the case. It was awkward but the owner/boss finally gave us the change that was due us.

Food and service were both fairly good, but not happy with the menu selections. All contained a lot of garlic -- if you don't like it, or if you are not a meat-eater, that's not the right restaurant for you. Drinks were expensive. Overall, not worth the price.

I ordered the chicken scarpariello and it was served in a soup bowl where all the roasted potatoes were forced into the sauce (it was also difficult to cut the potatoes because of the bowl configuration) so that everything on my plate tasted identical . This dish should be served on a plate. Too much sauce. A reduction in the fat content of the dishes would be appreciated. Waiters and waitresses have always been fabulous. I've introduced many friends to the City Chow House. I love the ambiance.
