It was a bit of a wait for my food...the host was very apologetic and tried to expedite the lune.

Food was very tasty, with generous portions. The drinks were well blended also, wish the glass was a little taller, but overall I enjoyed my first time there and will definitely go back.
They make it a family atmosphere by remembering your name or using your name when you are a first time customer. The food is not salty as most vegan places.
Our waitress was a lovely young woman, the food was excellent as always.

Never heard of anyone commenting about getting a bad meal at Tuscany. It is our favorite restaurant in Brick.

Senbeb is a vegan restaurant in northwest Wash. DC. with very good menu selections. They also have daily specials. Whenever I visit DC, it is one of my first stops. They also have a vegetarian store next door.
Food was freshly prepared. Everything I've ever ordered was amazing!!
As always, it was a comfortable, experience. We were greeted by the owner and his gracious staff upon entry. We were seated in a reasonably amount of time. Our every need was met by the familiar member of the wait staff, she was gracious, polite and served our meal in perfect timing, just the right amount of time between courses. You are never rushed or wondering when your meal is coming. Great dining experience, fabulous food, reasonably priced.

I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken had a great texture yet it was very bland. Not the first time.

Amazingly cooked, prepared, and tasting food. So fresh and made with care. Superior customer service as well. So friendly and genuine.
We got the large cajun "chicken" with two sides (Collards and Mac and Cheese). It's vegetarian but tasted great and had awesome seasoning. Not a huge restaurant but a nice place with a quiet atmosphere. I'll be back.
Great reception ... Great vegan soul food! We would come often "if" we lived in the area. We WISH we could find a "Senbeb" in Hawaii where we live. A-L-O-H-A!
We wish there were more tables in the dining area
The food was delicious. It took 20 minutes to get it, but it was worth it. In the future, I would call in the order in hopes I wouldn't have to wait as long. I didn't see the prices on the overhead board. I'd recommend that they post them somewhere visible. I'd also recommend they post the ingredients of their dishes. The cashier told me which dessert items were gluten-free, but she was going by memory. I would feel more comfortable if they just put a gluten free sticker on the appropriate items.
It's a "hit or miss" scenario for a raw option at Senbeb. The "laid back" spirit of the place is nice, unless you're looking for a raw option after 12pm... at these times the relaxed atmosphere is simply a missed opportunity to serve the raw community!
"Senbeb" offers the best vegan soul food we've ever have. We happily live in Hawaii, so can only enjoy it when we come to DC to visit our sons who live in the area. Wish we could enjoy it more often!!

The food was good, they allowed you to taste certain foods and the dessert was shockingly vegan. Yum.
The menu frequently changes. There is always something delicious available. An adjacent food co-op is perfect for browsing while you await your meal. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful.
Service is a little slow (not enough cooks in the kitchen or help at the counter), but the quality of the food is worth the wait.
BBQ drumsticks were amazing. the chicken was great.. the young man at the counter was lovely and incredibly helpful. Great dining experience all around.
Crab cakes are good! My 16 yr old, non-veg son liked everything I ordered which included the cajun fried chicken, mac & cheese and collard greens.
Went for takeout. The service is a little slow, but not intolerably so because of a shortage of staff, but it's worth the wait.

I was disappointed that they didn't have bubble teas as advertised, and their smoothies are only seasonal. This should be indicated on the info. regarding restaurant. I would have visited later in the season.

Down home "Vegan" food at its best. We only regret we are visiting DC. We look forward, however, to returning to "Senbeb" when we return to the area to visit our son here next year. Of course, we wish there were one near our home in Hawaii. :D

Senbeb isn't your traditional, eat-in restaurant. I generally pick up my meals to carry home. But they do offer a few tables for those who would like to eat there. Whether I eat in or take out, I have never been disappointed. Their vegetarian meals are the best -- delicious, complex flavors. They always have wholesome cooked and raw vegan meals. I love it. I wish they would expand to a full-service restaurant. There is definitely an opening in the market for them.
Senbeb has the best, most wholesome and delicious vegetarian food. They serve a variety of dishes. My favorites are the jerk tofu, Thai, the greens are fantastic, and there are so many others. They only have a few tables so I pick up food to take home for dinner. I also carry it for lunch. When my co-workers smell my lunch they gather around my desk and "Hmmm, that smells so good." "Where did you get that food?" I love SENBEB. Bernadette
I enjoy Senbeb. Oftentimes, when you want to pick up food to take home your choices are limited. With Senbeb, we get great vegetarian food at a reasonable price. BFowler
