The food was good, and you definitely get a large amount, more than enough to take home as well. The service was slow, as usual, hard to get drink refills and we had already completed our first 2 courses before our drinks were even brought out. My son only ordered chicken which is served last. We were all finished eating before he even received his food.
Food was delicious but it was very busy our server did leave us without a drink a few times.
Our cook was awesome. Very friendly and gave us a bunch of laughs

Great experience. Our six year old daughter loves the hibachi style of cooking & the quality is pretty good. Waited about 30 minutes for dinner around 7:30pm on a Saturday, which is pretty typical of the area. Hav3 enjoyed Sogo for years & was excited to see this certificate offered on Restaurant.com. We’ll be back!

We always have a good experience here. The staff is typically always helpful if there is an issue. The cook we had was somewhat new but did a great job, it was slightly on the saltier side but not too bad. This is one of our go-to date night restaurants!

The cook wasn't good at all. He was very sloppy in his cooking. He would sling the food toward your plate missing numerous times, half on half off your plate. He didn't cook items in order. He would be in the process of serving your plate, then using the same spatula on the raw chicken, vice versa. Half of the meat was cooked. I told the cashier that the experience was not very good. She was not interested. The cook was worried about checking his right arm scratching during the whole process. Very disappointed with this visit.

Food was prepared well and tasted good but as chef left table he somehow turned on a/c switch which left us and our food cold in minutes. No one to tell because no one checked back with us till bill came.

We were there at 5:30 we waited a really long time for salad and when we asked were told they were out of clean bowls. After we left we realized we did not get the side of carrots we ordered. Have always had great service & food here.. They just had an off night I guess.

The bus person while reaching for the glass fo refill with water with not done properly. Reaching over is very rude... The wait time was long and the body language is not approachable ...

We both ordered fish diners and were both REALLY disappointed with the meals. The fish was good, the slaw not so good, and the fries were really BAD. Most were burnt and when I mentioned it to the waitress she did bring us another order to share, however these weren't much better really. We also ordered popcorn app and they were really good.
We were seated quickly, even with many large prom parties also being in attendance. Our chef was entertaining and our food was excellent! This is one of my favorite options for Japanese!
Over an hour wait...called ahead and upon arriving then told we do not take reservations so what was the point in taking my name? Dah!!

Michael was our chef tonight and I that made my day. His food is always great, always get our order right . He is our favorite chef there.
The wait staff was just very helpful. The cook was excellent. In fact it was the best steak I remember having at a Japanese restraint.
it was okay if you want to eat one item at a time. had to eat rice before protein, and was full on rice before enjoying the rest of the items and if not then you will have cold rice with the rest of your meal
Very entertaining to watch the "show" while you eat at Sogo's. We didnt have to wait at all - walked right in at 7pm and got a table on a Friday night.

Sogo is possibly my favorite restaurant. I eat there more because we have the restaurant.com gift certificates. Even though they are still selling them on the site, there is a sign up that they will not be accepting them anymore starting 1/1/13. I have multiple gift certificates left. If you aren't going to take them, you shouldnt be selling them. Very disappointed in some of the management decisions. We go there often enough that we usually cannot use the gift certificates (once per month) and they know us. I'll still go, but not as often.

We called and made reservations and were given no indication that they did not "take reservations." We arrived to find the party room we thought we had reserved filled with another group. Our group had to sit at two separate tables which lessened our experience. Our server (who called himself "Chow" from the Hangover) more than made up for this setback.

We were sat promptly. Two of us ordered only water to drink - no refills. The chef was great...food tasted great...EXCEPT for the steak. There is WAY TOO much fat in/on the steak and we basically did not eat the steak on 3 plates. Other than that, the rice, noodles, chicken, veggies, salad, and soup were all very tasty..

The food was burned due to the cook not paying attention and too busy humiliating me. The cook gave me the middle finger thinking he was being cute and I DID NOT APPRECIATE it AT ALL! This is no way to treat customers.

I have eaten at Sogo's in the past and the food was good. This time, I, and my daughter ordered a pina colata and it was tasteless. I tried to put Sweet and Low in it help, but it didn't. I didn't send it back but thought about it. The soup was also disappointing. It lacked flavor and needed salt. The rest of the meal was good and the chef was friendly and entertaining.

I took my daughter and 5 of her friends for her 14th birthday. The chef made the dinner fun and the staff was very accomodating with the birthday cake that I brought.
Food and service were great, BUT one big downside - they do not take reservations! There were 11 of us and we called ahead and STILL waited over 1hr for a table! Once we were seated everything else was really good.

The chef that used to work at Tin Tin Noodles in Charlotte is VERY good! He is wonderful and I always look for him and ask if he can be my server! (I just need to remember his name!) He is funny, VERY skilled, has attention to detail and is just so nice.
Sogo is one of my favorite restaurants. I would defintely have gone again without the restaurant.com giftcard, but I will be going more often and trying more things on the menu. We didn't spend less than usual; we added to our meal. Now I like it even more! Thank you!
Service was great, and food was very good (including a lot of food for the $$) but on the salty side.
The food was great, as usual. Our cook knew the other three people at the table, so he focused all his attention on them except when he was putting food on our plates. He was pleasant, but we felt a little "left out!"

We wouild atten Sogo even wothout the coupon, but we would not be able to attend as often. We used to attend about once a year for a special occasion, but now we can attend 4-5 times a year because of the coupon. Thanks, my grandkids and myself love the service the food and the price.

The main reason I came to sogo was for the cooking entertainment.I brought my sister for that reason. We have been to the Sogo in Locust,N.C. and enjoyed the food, but I wanted her to watch the cook put on a show. I suppose the cook sensed that the others at the table weren't interested in the show so he didn't do much entertainment. At least we got to watch him entertain the table beside us

Chef at our table was very quiet and didn't do any of the things they normally do. We tried to get his attention several time to ask for additional sauce as well and just never heard us. He was going to make a volcano with the onions, looked around and scraped the onions off the table. He also did not do the usually "show" with at the end of cooking. We enjoyed the food and glad this was not our first time and looking forward to a show as most expect when the come to a sogo resturauant.

We often visit Sogo Express, but this is the first time we've visited the hibachi restaurant. We just felt a little rushed. Would have liked a little more time to sit and visit.

Our service was excellent, our chef was entertaining and our food was awesome. This was most definietly one of the best all around restaurant experiences our family has had in years!!! We will go back again...when we are in Concord!! LOVED It!
