Food was good. Server was friendly. Food w arrived quickly and was nice and hot.
The M'di was very accommodating, waitress excellent, musician talented.
Let us come in to have soup when they were 30 minutes from closing and we’re super sweet to us. Daughter was in a wheelchair from surgery and they were so helpful !

All of their fried food is amazing, especially the fried flounder. And the Sunday breakfast/dinner buffets are just plain comforting. Do not visit Edisto without checking out The Waterfront.

We love the Waterfront. We eat there whenever we go to Edisto. Great food and great service and staff, and prices are reasonable. We especially like their Sunday brunch. My husband loves the bread pudding with pecan topping ??

We love going to the Waterfront whenever we go to Edisto Beach (which is our favorite beach in the Charleston area). We have gone there alone and we have gone there with family members visiting and it is always enjoyed by all.

The food is good,the service fast and friendly and prices reasonable. What more do you need? Try it, you will be pleased.
Sunday Brunch is amazing! You can choose the breakfast buffet, the lunch buffet or both. We've found the food on the breakfast buffet to be the best, particularly the pancakes, bacon and grits. Very reasonably priced too! Go early as it is very popular with the after-church crowd, even during the offseason.

The Waterfront is always a highlight of our vacation to Edisto Beach each year. We usually go twice in the one week. This year was no different. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding!
Fried green tomatoes with creamy grits were very good. A house specialty, "Scallops St. Pierre", did not "pop" for me, because the scallops were sauteed, not seared, the cherry tomatoes were warmed, but not roasted, and the white sauce was too "heavy" to my taste. Another house specialty, The "Pecan Fried Flounder" was truly fresh & perfectly fried but the glaze just did not "work for us". The slice of key lime pie from Kings Farm Market was "spot on".
The best shrimp and grits on earth! The most amazing popcorn shrimp, too! The food is just so so good here!
Food is good, but took long time for food to arrive, long time for bill to arrive after finished eatting. We were there on a Wednesday night, in February.
Breakfast and Lunch buffet offer a good selection. The menu will vary some week to week.
Seafood was excellent--service too! Happy hour drinks with dinner was an added plus.

The Waterfront offers good meals that are not too pricey but have good quality. On this particular evening, we had friends visiting from Pittsburgh and they had never tasted oysters. It was all-you-can-eat oyster night, too much for our guests. They were given a small tasting by the staff....free. Also had live entertainment...a guitar/singer. Very nice.
Shrimp were undercooked and breading,too.

we had the Sunday buffet but I would order off the menu next time. The hostess told us it was $9.49 but waitress said it was 12.95 after we ate. She said the hostess was new--go figure.

We always look forward to dining at the Waterfront every year on vacation. It's always a great experience. This year was no exception. Our server, Dave, was excellent, and the food, as always, was outstanding.

The food was excellent, but our server had too many tables, and the service was not up to its usual standard. I had to get up to ask someone else for water after we had asked for it twice. However, I did tip 20% of the entire bill.

The food was absolutely fabulous! The waitress was friendly and attentive. The only complaint was that the building needed some updating and repairs.
We've eaten here numerous times, the food is always good but service can be slow when busy. The wait this evening was reasonable and our server was very efficient, polite and pleasant. We'll definitely be back.
Food and service was excellent. Ambiance, however, was somewhat like an upscale fish farm. Music was a loud Country Western style.

One mishap with meal as it didn't taste right - meal was replaced with my choice which turned out to be excellent.
The manager, Joe, helped seat us. We had called to see of reservations were needed and ere told not. Arrived after an hour drive to find a huge wait at 7 pm. Spoke with Joe and he seated us promptly. Luke, our server took great care of us.

Plenty of food!
My tuna was very good but my wife's fettuccine alfredo was horrible. On a positive note, the manager was very nice and took my wife's meal off of our bill. One other negative was that the place wreaked of paint fumes, but they did have a sign out front asking you to excuse the mess during remodeling. We both had headaches from the fumes when we left.
The scallops Pierre was excellent! Highly recommend this dish :)

The service was decent for most of the 8 ppl in our party. She brought a different meal to our son when he didn't like what he ordered and was very pleasant. The shrimp and the waterfront salad were really good meals. However the crablegs and the green beans left a lot to be desired.
Awesome experience- the mussels were to die for and the service was great.
My crab cake tasted fishy. I told the server. She offered to give me another one. I thanked her but said no. The manager also offered to replaced it. I again refused since I was full. They reduced the price of the meal. The rest of my meal (flounder and shrimp) were excellent.

Food was excellent...melt in the mouth flounder (both broiled and fried)was the best we have enjoyed anywhere. The shrimp is fresh and really good. Our server was quick, efficient, and very personable. The restaurant is clean and inviting.

The seafood was fresh & perfectly done. The restaurant was what I expected it to be. It was a typical beach area family restaurant.The prices were reasonable. Drinks were fairly priced. There was enough variety on the menu that a group of people should all be pleased.
This is by far the best restaurant for local seafood on Edisto! I had the local oysters, my spouse has the pecan crusted trout and they were both excellent. My martini was also perfect. This was a wonderful experience and we will return as soon as possible.

Very accomodating when asked about pricing the 'all you can eat' special for a child. Adjusted price down to about 1/2 that of the adult price.

Great service with high quality food in a quite/clean atmosphere with casual dress attire is a small costal area. A good time was had by all in our party. Definitely worthy of a return visit when we are back in the area in the Spring.

Good restaurant for large groups and our waitress was very attentive.The food was mediocre. Both of our fish entrees were overcooked.
Wife had the low country stir fry which was far better than my seafood combination.
