Reviews
Overall very good, although the server mixed up the temps for our steaks (filet was medium well and sirloin medium; should have been the opposite). Prices just a little high vs similar restaurants.
The waiter, Dan was fantastic. The drinks were good. For the amount we paid I expected to have leftovers. My husband didn't like his prime rib at all. I had rack of lamb which was good but sparse. The vegetables they give you first was a total waste. The salad should have had more dressings than just red wine vinegar. The atmosphere was very nice. I had three more $25 coupons which I threw away. I am even less happy with restaurants.com. Not enough
Loved the relish tray, bread and twice baked potato included with the meal. Great ambiance and food was very tasty.
We had four 25 year olds in our group that were very impressed with the history and ambiance.
Seems like the portions are getting smaller but the price keeps going up.
Food was delicious. But could have been warmer. It wasn’t cold, but not hot either.

We like a certain table location and it was not given; although we asked this when making reservation, upon arrival we were told that a certain table location could not be reserved.
Our server was very pleasant, the bus boy was excellent and the food delicious.

There was a table next to ours with 3 couples seated at it. They were loud, obnoxious and after a few drinks, more than intoxicated! After a short while, my wife got us and asked the people at the front desk to re-seat us which they did (she explained why to them). After we were re-seated two other tables got up and did the same thing. Unfortunately, they seated us at a table that was both cold (next to a window) and dark (not well lit), so after the table for 6 left, we asked that we be re-seated (if possible) to our original table. My question is: why didn't management do something about this and why didn't they comp us (at least a token comp)? Neither suggestion here was done. This is why we rated our dining experience a 2!
Nice atmosphere cozy fireplace .. overpriced for small portions…
Tuna and med Chicken were great as always but would like to see Chicken Piccata back on the menu.
Food was excellent, service was great, been there several times, will keep going back

My husband and I were celebrating my birthday as we do every year at White Oaks as it is my favorite restaurant. My husband made reservations several days before and specifically asked for a table on the veranda .. When we arrived we were seated inside . When we asked why the girl told us outside was for tables of 4..There was even an empty table visible..Food is great, love the wonderful service, but really prefer to be outside where it's bright and cheery.. Really put a bit of a damper on my birthda y celebration..
Love the cottage cheese and condiment tray. Gracious service staff. Minimal wait -on a Tuesday night -for cocktails and entree.
Loved the ambiance and classic timeless style. Ribeye perfectly prepared. Pearl onions were incredible. Bread and butter to die for!! Salad excellent. Old fashioned outstanding!!! Very happy!!oh and the Lobster bisque was best ever!!!
New waitress forgot to provide menus when seated but otherwise did a good job as she took our order and was able to answer a question about the item being ordered.
The waiter was good, all the support staff was poor. I had ahi tuna, it was way overcooked.

Great service, great ambiance, great food. What more can you ask? A gentleman proposed to his lady at the table next to ours...fantastic event!
We had a table in front of a window ,facing a creek, allowing us to enjoy wildlife and nature (trees). Our waiter was friendly and attentive and most importantly, the food was very good; we each had a chicken entree.

All of our food tasted very good and was properly cooked and arrived at our table nice and hot

food and service are excellent. The view is so nice; we watched mallard ducks swim and waddle around while we dined
Twice baked potatoes were tough, my husbands prime rib was more than half gristle ( daughters was fine) thought that the kitchen might notice. My husband does not like to complain but when a plate comes back with a huge pile of gristle one would think someone would notice. Your serving staff is great especially the young people,
WE HAVE BEEN COMING TO THIS RESTAURANT FOR 43 YEARS SINCE WE GOT TRANSFERRED HERE. NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL OR BAD SERVICE. THIS RESTAURANT IS #1.
This is NOT a new age, modern restaurant by any means. It's a throw back relic of a different time, but done very well.
Very romantic view. The food was very good. The service was very good and everything was served in a timely manner

The service and ambiance were on par with the excellent food. Both the meal selections and cocktail drinks were outstanding in preparation, taste, presentation and timing.
Great atmosphere. Depending on where you sit, you may have an excellent view of Cahoon Creek and its wildlife. The restaurant also has an interesting history as being a speakeasy in the Prohibition era. My only substantive criticism is that the restaurant has two menus, dinner (expensive) and lounge (less expensive). Even though our coupon was presumably only valid for dinner menu items, I think we should have still been informed that there were two menus when we arrived. I only knew about the two menus because I had visited their website.

our waiter was excellent, however the food was sub par. For the prices and the atmosphere you expect top quality. It fell short compared to past visits.

Everyone was very attentive to our meal, asking there was anything that we needed or how was the meal.
Celebrated our 35st Wedding Anniversary there yesterday.

After 2-3 disappointing visits White Oaks has been a good experience the last few times we've dined there. It was very cold inside, however.

A pleasant, leisurely dining experience, allowing you time to talk, without being rushed.
Nice atmosphere We had to wait a bit after being seated because they were busy. But the food was worth the wait.

Love the ambiance, but it’s always too cold by the window, even with fireplace roaring. Why?

The food & service is always excellant at White Oaks.
The atmosphere is incredible, overlooking a beautiful ravine with a brook. The chef's skills are evident in the delicious food. Always an exceptional experience. Thank you

The wait staff is exceptional, courteous, friendly and well informed about menu items. The food is brought out a a pace that allows you to enjoy each course and not feel rushed at all. Love the fact that they've maintained a long-time tradition of serving a fresh relish tray (fresh veggie tray) along with their outstanding cottage cheese and warm bread.
The servers were all excellent! The fireplace, the window view above the ravine, the beautiful decor...all made this a great place to visit! And the food was delicious too!
Excellent food and service - fondue was great additions.
We love the ambiance, the setting, the service and the delicious food! We hope to dine here more often and we will bring friends to join us as I’m sure they will enjoy it, also. It was definitely a special place to celebrate our anniversary. P.S. The roaring fire in the fireplace was an added surprise.
Our server was really great. The food was exceptional. Everything about the experience was wonderful. We were there to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, and we will definitely return.
The food was really good, unfortunately we had a very bad server. We were finished with our food for over 20 minutes, had it boxed by the bus boy and had our coats on before she returned to our table.
Had to ask for sour cream for my baked potato three times.
20 min wait after making reservations. Just wasnt impressed with the place
Service and food was excellent. There is something on the menu for everyone. Portions were large.
Your yearly clambakes are always excellent. Also top rated desserts!!
Valet parking was great for wheel chair driver on oxygen. 3 doors and steps , 1 step after each door . Gave my wife a great break! Also allowed us to avoid the rain.
Who charges $42 for a Clam Bake, with the smallest piece of chicken, I have ever seen!
Good was delicious. Alex the server was great. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much.

They needed another server in the dining room. We had to wait a bit for her.
Complimentary valet parking, accommodated our party when we arrived a little early, accommodated our table/booth request, server and other staff were great, polite, knowledgeable. Food was delicious. My filet was perfectly cooked, mixed vegetables and twice baked potato perfectly cooked. My 7 year old loved her buttered bowtie pasta with parmesan cheese. My mother ordered beef wellington and said it was delicious and also perfectly cooked.
They ran out of ribeye steak...food was tasty though.

All of the employees were very friendly. Excellent dining experience.
Not to friendly, service good but too fast.Never asked if we were celebrating something. Felt like a fast food resturant .
Always a good meal in this long time Cleveland restaurant
Very pleasant and attentive waitstaff- they do everything just exactly right.
The food and service is always wonderful. They treat you as if you are their only guests.
Consistent, high-quality classics... that's why this place has been around for so long!
We love the atmosphere, food and service provided by the staff.
My husband and I went to White Oak's to celebrate our Anniversary. My husband called ahead for reservations, when we arrived, we were seated immediately. My husband and I sat at our table for over 15 mins before the server came to our table. Once our server came over to us, she got our drink order, explained the specials and then returned. I asked her what entree she preferred out of the two I narrowed it down to, she seemed irritated, answered me, and asked what I would be having . I then chose my entree. My husband on the other hand knew he wanted a ribeye so that's what he ordered. Once the ribeye arrived it was too pink in the middle so he sent it back to be cooked more. When the ribeye was returned to the table the ribeye was so chard that it was not edible in his opinion. My husband notified the waitress that his steak was really chard and she said that's what happens when you send it back. The cooks are unable to tell how cooked it is. So my husband said nothing else and just asked for a box. In the meantime, while all this is going on, we were not offered refills, we had to ask for our own refills. Originally we were not offered bread we had to ask for that also. At the end our waitress brought out our check and never asked if we wanted dessert but the people around us were offered dessert menus and actually got their food before we did even though we were there before them. Once our check was dropped off to the table the waitress noticed that we had our certificate for $25 off restaurant coupon, then was really annoyed and rude. I've never felt like such a bother. I guess that will be the last time we go there.
This visit was better than our prior two, for both food and service, but for the prices the quality and experience should be better. Come up with more sides vs. everyone getting a twice-baked potato and green beans with carrots. Overall White Oaks needs to get back some luster.
Service is always excellent and the food is outstanding. Love their salmon and Beef Wellington!
Interesting menu, lots of food on your plate, nice view looking down on the creek and geese/ducks!
Great rustic atmosphere. Wood paneling. Old school feel. Great views of the creek with wildlife
Had it not been for a couple of "memory lapses" we would have rated it 5+. This overall visit would be 4+ to 5!.
Except for a couple of "memory lapses" by the serving staff, we would rate it 5+, but this visit would have to be 4+ to 5!
Food was good. We were seated in a room towards the back of the restaurant. It would have been nice to see the view. We had to valet park which would not have been my first choice. Decor was pretty dated and worn.
Would have preferred a more modern approach to the standard carrot and green bean vegetable. They were fresh, but needed a better presentation and flavor.
Food was excellent. Wait staff are friendly and very efficient. Expensive, though.
Overall everything was great, food, drinks, service. Bus boys were on their game with water refills. Great atmosphere, not rushed at all, and a good vibe. Server could have been a little more talkative, and didn’t mention any specials or anything like that, but aside, she was good.
We are always looking for different places to dine out so don't usually return to the same restaurant over and over...except White Oaks. It has become one of our favorites and we return for special occasion several times a year. Love the quiet, romantic atmosphere.
Prime rib was too fatty. Pork dish wasn't very tender.
Waiters were cordial. Food wonderful. Ambiance was good except for trouble with Christmas lights shorting out.
Clean, great view of river, Generous portions, delish
Great outside view of the woods and river. Great historic interior. Fireplaces. Great servers and food. Has a separate bar to eat in also.
We sat by the window view was fantastic
It took 10 minutes to fill the water glass. Water glass was dirty.
At 3 pm on a Sunday, we were the only guests in the dining room. For some reason we thought that we would receive prompt attention. At least 10 minutes went by before menus were brought to the table. We made our selections and at least another 10 minutes passed before the server returned. (What would it be like if the restaurant were busy?) We settled on the Lobster Bisque for a start. It was AMAZING!!! The warm Parmesan-crusted bread was a lovely complement. Instead of dinners, we opted for a selection of appetizers, all of which were underwhelming. What a disappointment...the Grilled Flatbread, Bacon-wrapped Scallops, and Panko-breaded Shrimp all lacked flavor.(And the Shrimp was over-fried.) Time for the chef to kick it up a notch in our opinions.Had our experience ended with the Bisque and Bread, it would have been wonderful and a 5-star rating would be appropriate. But the overall experience deserves only a 2-star rating.
Everything about it was great. The food was excellent and the ambiance was wonderful. The wait staff did not interrupt repeatedly but were always there when we wanted something.
Service, food and atmosphere was excellent.
The Chef made me a special special he added heavy cream. So good!!
The service and the atmosphere was outstanding the food was also very delicious.
Friendly staff. Nice variety on menu. Excellent food
White Oaks is my family's "go to" place for celebrations. This time was for Daddy's 85th birthday. He has been dining there for 40 years. The history of the building, the food and the service are exemplary!
The server was rude and not pleasant. We enjoyed the food and the ambiance.
Best Beef Wellington ever!! That's the only thing I get there. My husband loved his steak..
My meal was warm and cook to more like a warm left over meal
The service and food quality have diminished significantly since our last visit a year ago.
the potatoes were dried out and cold the esgargot was great the shrimp cocktail was also great and so was our dinner the last time we threw out our potatoes also
Good service add unusually good food
The ambiance is wonderful.
Excellent food & service.
Beautiful atmosphere and excellent food!
Nice restaurant but not worth the money. 48$ for a prime rib dinner was way too much especially since it was mostly fat on the piece of meat that I got.
Couldn't wait to try this restaurant-the food was good but our server was poor. Barely checked on us nor came back after our food was served to ask how anything was or if we needed anything
very good service
The atmosphere, all employees, and food was outstanding!
Food and service were excellent
Great Atmosphere, Great Food, Great Service !
FOOD EXCELLENT, SERVICE EXCELLENT, OVIANCE PERFECT WATCHING NATURE FROM THEIR LARGE WINDOWS.
Limited menu
We love Lynn!
Service was excellent. The meal was outstanding.
Both of our meals were perfect (as usual).
Great service and ambiance.
Nice ambiance. Prices weren't offered with specials, making it awkward to ask. Then shock at the price when the bill came. ($40 & $45 - to nearest dollar - for prime rib entree). Meat was cooked to perfection but most of the cut was too difficult to chew. Would suggest better silverware, steak knives and dinner ware for presentation. Should have ordered the chicken dish I originally considered.
Food and service were exceptional.
Great atmosphere, great service, great food! Who could ask for more!
Food was poor. Lamb chops were Haney and the prime rib had no taste
Great food, service & atmosphere. Friendly & efficient servers.
EXCELLENT FOOD & GREAT ATMOSPHERE & GREAT SERVICE. JUST GREAT EVENING.
Excellent food and staff, decor is dated but a very nice evening out dining .
The duck was overdone and way too much on plate to cut it even....
Simply put - the food was fresh, prepared to order and the service was very good.
Great atmosphere and service. Well made martinis and fantastic food. Great value
Atmosphere ok but the food was not great and we told them it was our aniversary and it meant nothing to them and they stress in their advertisements that it is a romantic place.
Nice traditional setting with plenty of menu options.
We had a young man as our waiter and he was very kind, and courteous. The food was very good.
A very charming restaurant with wonderful views and delicious food.
Very accommodating for small child. In corner next to window
My husband ordered Veal Marsala and was very disappointed in quality of meat. Very tough and, if not for the sauce, would have sent it back. Also, for so many years, we are tired of twice baked potatoes. Nothing is offered to exchange, not even French Fries or extra vegetable. Will not return there for a very long time.
Food was great, service is very, very slow.
Reservations were made two months prior and reconfirmed two days before for special occasion. We waited in the lounge for over an hour. When finally seated we were politely pushed to complete our meal. We were going to order crembrule but they were suddenly out thus no dessert. Not a good experience!!!
Very slow service. Forgot our appetizer. Main dish only warm. Took over 1 hour from the time we arrived until food was served.
window seat overlooking creek. deer, ducks and squirrel for our enjoyment.
We did not have a reservation comma but the waitress set up a table by the window very quickly. The service was fast in the waiter was very attentive, and funny as well.
Everything was wonderful as usual except for my angus ribeye steak, it had no flavor. I will not try it again. Otherwise, great atmosphere and service.
Great atmosphere overlooking the creek. The wildlife was plentiful and the meal was terrific.

THIS IS OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT. EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE AND WATCHING THE DEER,DUCKS & LOONS. GREAT NIGHT!!
Service and meal was very good
He hostess forgot we were waiting for our table.
He hostess forgot we were waiting for our table.
Food is great. Service is great. Wine in excellent.
We always order the Beef Wellington and Salmon. They are always predictably wonderful.
The restaurant is just gorgeous inside. We had a table right by the window so you can see the deer, squirrels, birds, the creek. A great view. Food was excellent as well.
seating experience was great
It was great! We were by the window & there was a lot of wildlife by the stream. It was very relaxing.
Good there was a person speaking very loud in our room and kind of ruined the experience.
The food and service were excellent
Service and food were excellent.
Food was fresh, cooked how we ordered it and very good.
The only complaint I have is I ordered a filet medium well and it came back rare. I sent it back and they threw it back on the grill and then it was a little dry.
Older place. Great service. Good food, but a bit pricey.
Meals were excellent as usual
Food was good, the ambiance of the restaurant is great, and their is an abundance of wildlife available to view
The ambiance is lovely, with a view of the river and the woods. The food quality was good, but not inspired. The server was personable and knowledgeable, but we waited a long time between visits. Support staff did not clear plates in a timely way or refill beverages unless asked. Could have worked better as a team and been more attentive.
Always enjoy dining at White Oaks
Our meals ranged from good to excellent. The atmosphere and the views were fantastic!
Horrible atmosphere. We were seated in a back room that had poor lighting, lacked soft music and with diners who were dressed very casually. Not the romantic night we had hoped for at all.
More than we expected. Nice quite place to enjoy your guests.Everything was above par.
When you want filet, this is the place to have one. It will melt in your mouth.the rebaked potatoes are great as is everything else in this lovely place.
The steaks were not as warm as they could have been and they seemed to be not as tender as usual.
The food is delicious and the ambiance is warm and wonderful. We were seated near a fireplace with an outdoor view. We loved it!
winter night and restaurant was chilly because of the windows - but it is one of Cleveland's most beautiful views for a restaurant
Great food, good service and great setting.
We had a lovely time. We like the rich feel of the restaurant.
Ambiance was great but the food was mediocre for the price.
the staff was excellent, very friendly and welcoming
The food was delicious and attractively served. We enjoyed a quiet dinner by the fireplace overlooking the woods and patio..easy conversation...great service
WE LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. SERVICE IS EXCELLENT AND THE FOOD IS REALLY EXCELLENT.
Well-prepared food, good service - but overpriced if not for Restaurant.com offer.
Always get good service and good food!
The food was delicious and the service wonderful.
They need to tighten it up. Broken chair, not stellar service, seems like a bunch of inexperienced teen to twenty somethings on staff. Forced valet parking the to small lot was slow, brought the wrong vehicle.
Food is good, Would like to have a offer for only one lobster tail. I would cut out the mixed vegetables, seemed everyone was cutting that out of there meal.Love the back window view of river.
The food and the service was excellent. There were no negatives for the whole evening. We had a great time.
Our dinners were over priced for what we received. Our waitress was not on top of things!
Our dinners were over priced for what we received. Our waitress was not on top of things!
two people had the Veal Marsela and we did not care for it. Too much gravy sauce. one person had the filet and another had thee Ribeye steak. They seemed pleased.
We brought close friends to celebrate their 50th anniversary, they loved it
KATIE IS A GREAT SERVER
Sandy was our waitress and was very good in service and personality. My husband had the veal medalions and said the veal was tasteless.
KATIE IS EXCELLENT SERVER, FOOD IS 5 STARS.
Food was awful, cold, overcooked, not served to specifications.
ALL THE SERVERS ARE VERY NICE AND VERY EFFICIENT. FOOD IS ALWAYS EXCELLENT.
My husband and I went to White Oaks 40 years ago and I have been wanting to go back. We live in Brunswick, Oh so I went with my 2 girlfriends and loved it!
The extras were unexpected but nice: vegetable plate, cottage cheese, cloth napkins and table cloths, etc. Very friendly service and we were treated to a menagerie of animals that came to eat at the creek flowing outside our window.
Service needs improvement... Slow..
Ouite place. Love the little stream in back with ducks and deer.Would like to see served 1 lobster tail.
The Food and service was good the crème brulee was fantastic. Nice dinning experience for our 40th anniversary Thanks
Very good restaurant. Obviously caters to an older crowd with menu selection and side availability. Veggies were good but just steamed without any seasoning. I ordered the duck, which was supposed to be crispy. It definitely wasn't crispy, but still delicious.
Excellent food. Good service.
Great scenery, great food!
EVERY THING IS JUST PERFECT.
The staff was very helpful and the Resturant(from 1928) looked very well taken care of.The food was excellent.
Service was good & the ambiance was fantastic. One of our meals was excellent & the other was mediocre.
Great food and service
always a good selection, and well prepared
YOU CAN COUNT ON A WONDERFUL EVENING DINING AT WHITE OAKS. SERVICE IS EXCELLENT, RESTAURANT IS QUAINT AND FOOD IS EXCELLENT. WE LOVE THISRESTAURANT.
The location was great, the food and service and atmosphere also fabulous.
Food is excellent & nature in the area makes it very special
Food was good. Service was good. Trying to pay our bill was frustrating.
Food is excellent & nature in the area makes it very special
Silverware was a bit dirty. Ribeye was bit too fatty. I know they are supposed to be. I expected a better size steak and quality for the money I spent on it.
I ordered the rib steak, and every bite I took had fat. After the fourth or fifth bite I stopped eating.
Atmosphere is awesome and the food is great. My favorite restaurant for special occasions.
Was placed in a small back room. Every other seating location looked beautiful.
Great atmosphere.
my wife had her usual - the duck. i had salmon. they were both great. the fireplace was nice in this frigid weather! service was top shelf!
Even though it was a very busy night at the restaurant, the service was impeccable. Beginning with the hostess and continuing throughout the evening, everyone attended to their duties, being attentive but not overly so. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced (even though she was relatively young). The timing of our meal was just right.
the food and environment was excellent
great service and excellent food and drinks
The food was excellent and the service was wonderful.
I love all of the fireplaces! Plus the food was excellent and the staff was friendly.
Escargot appetizer was very disappointing. They were no bigger than marbles and they. Have the nerve to charge 10.99.
Our waitress was excellent (has two sets of twins) Food was very good. Hostess was dull and not very well trained. When I asked how what year the restaurant opened she shrugged her shoulder's. Did not smile and later came and stood for a long time at the step overlooking the back dining room?
We ate early & had the restaurant to ourselves. Also meant we had 3 people waiting on us. The setting is beautiful.
Our waitress was not very polished
no music, quiet, fireplace, amazing atmosphere to talk
The ambiance was very nice. We arrived before the dining room was open, and was told the hostess would come get us. She did not, we checked after we saw people being seated.
Server very nice and accommodating but she was spread too thin. We also waited a long time for our meal
Great food, excellent service. Festive atmosphere.
This place is very elegant. We loved the old wood feel, the smells, and the very cozy fireplace we got to sit next to. I would recommend sitting in the back where you can see the creek below. We were able to watch deer drinking from it while dinning. The food was also excellent and I wish I could tell you the servers name, because she was great.
Servers friendly and professional and timely on checking back with us. Will b back for sure in few days. Love the window table.9
The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is great and the food is delicious!
Beef dishes are the specialties of the house. Go with beef.
Wonderful restaurant with great service and beautifully presented cuisine.
Great ambiance,delicious food.
the only thing wrong was the wait in between the coarses. and keeping the water glasses filled. Sat down at 4:30 and left there at 6:50pm.
Impeccably clean restaurant. Promptly escorted to table upon arriving, water and veggies brought to table within minutes. Order taken without pressure and timing of dinner courses was excellent. Service was tremendous and as always, the food was marvelous.
Great atmosphere, Poor food
Food and service was outstanding.
Beautiful setting: we watched a total of 8 deer and dozens of ducks feed in the riverbed while we ate. The food was fabulous: their rack of lamb is the best I have ever had. You get more than the average restaurant: in addition to the entrée, we were served a relish tray, cottage cheese, a salad, fresh baked bread, vegetable and the house specialty-twice baked potato. Husband had the daily special teriyaki salmon with mandarin oranges and crispy wontons. We were too full for dessert.
Very good food. Room was too cold for our comfort. Love the history and atmosphere.
I requested a window seat when making reservations, but was put in a room with no windows. We will be back, but we never would have known the place existed if not for the coupon.
Excellent food. The salmon was excellent. Service was great. Great ambiance!
great food
Private room, great service and food.
Overpriced. Food was not that good! Service was good as well as the view over the river
We sat at the bar and our bartender Teri was great.
our server Adam had a great sense of humor
The atmosphere and food were superb as was the service. Our waitress was outstanding!
Excellent veal marsala and salmon
My sister knows the owners and goes there often
My sister knows the owners and goes there often
We really enjoyed our food
Everything was very good
loved the atmosphere & the history of it- Glad the dress code has been loosened! Appreciate the signature veggies-we didn't care for cottage cheese. Loved the bread-it would be nice to have dipping oil offered. overall, really too pricey, even with a gift certificate.
beautiful restaurant with an awesome ambiance.
Food was excellent. The ambiance was so romantic, please keep the dress code in effect. The employees, from the parking lot attendent to the server's were all so polite.
White Oaks opened in 1928 an has an interesting history. It is beautiful with an elegant feel. The surrounds are gorgeous, big windows for great views. Most important was the food which was really delicious. Service was excellent, plenty of time to talk & relax. A little wait for food but that is to be expected when it is freshly prepared and tastes like it.
Really has gone downhill in just about every way. Prices may have been justified 20yrs ago but not any more. At this point they are just coasting and living off the diminishing good will and patience of their long time loyal customers. Nothing but a nostalgia place for the old old. Too bad. It used to be special.
quality food and service....always.
Great table with view and near the fireplace. My date was wonderful with the a great setting, service and food.
they are a high class restaurant but they treat everyone equal whether uyou are using a coupon or not. servers are top notch
I took my dear friend there for dinner/she is leaving the Cleveland area for a new position in Virginia. The service/food and atmosphere were just perfect and timing of food was awesome as well. will definitely return!
great service; resent the required valet parking when we could easily park ourselves
Very nice night
Wait staff excellent with my elderly parents. Their patience and understanding and attentiveness to older persons needs is commendable and very much appreciated. Thank you all.
We entered the restaurant and were seated immediately. Our server was spot on with water, menus, and attentiveness. Our appetizers(escargot) arrived quickly and was excellent. The entrees were cooked perfectly and had very good flavor. The room we were seated in had a cozy fireplace that added to the atmosphere. The menu is a bit expensive, but the surroundings were warm and comfortable.
Nice table by window and excellent service
Restaurant does not start serving dinner until 5:00. We were asked to go sit in the bar, we had a child in a wheel chair with us and we are not drinkers. This restraurant is not handicap accessible and was very cold inside, we left our coats covering our legs
Food was exceptional, service was a little lax
The service was very very slow. Our table was filled w/ dirty dishes and our drinks were empty most of the time.
Grilled Salmon was prepared wonderfully. Great atmosphere.
The area where we were first seated was cold so we had to be reseated.
Food was great, service was mediocre. We were seated in a cold room surrounded by windows, and subsequently froze during our entire meal.
great food and service
Beautiful setting, great food and plenty of it, fantastic service.
Great ambiance, very good service, pleasant other diners nearby, valet parking. Romantic setting, fireplaces, woods, ravine outside dining room.
it's a beautiful venue...and I forgot to make rsvn until the morning we went, and I was amazed the lovely table we got near one of the fireplaces and food is always good.
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice.
The waitress was really nice but service was very slow.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, as always. The service was great also.
I had an dilishing tasting steak and my wife had pork chops. Appetizer was great! Service and waitress were fanastic!
The staff is amazing!! Our waitress was friendly and very competent. Perfect!!!
Excellent view of the park below
relatively high priced given the quality of the food
AS usual the food was excellent, the service was terrific and the ambiance was perfect.
Tried and true. Ambiance, seasoned, quaint. Food consistently excellent. Love the bar offerings. No mixes, just made from scratch drinks.
The service was excellent and our meals were outstanding. We will definitely return.
Service is great! I would prefer to have steaks and scampi without the chef's sauce as it really overpowered the entrée. I like that they put on the menu NOT to use cell phones.

The meal was good but the prices are a bit high. Fabulous baked bread!Twice baked potatoe was overcooked and dry.
Excellent food, very good service, nice atmosphere
Enjoy dining by the windows. Excellent service. Thought the price for a glass of wine was high.
We had a wonderful meal and the service was excellent. However, the entre prices have gone up at least $5 since we were here last.
The setting is wonderful and the service fantastic.
Priced at "fine dining" but not the quality of "fine dining".
Dirty tablecloth, poor service
the waitrss was very good and came to see if we needed anything quite a few times I liked that.
My husband introduced me to White Oaks when we were dating 27 years ago. We always go back because the food and the service is always top notch.
The decor was beautiful and the food was delicious.
Delightfullace for special occasions. Supurb food, service, and surroundings. Too pricey for frequent visiting.
food was over-priced for the quality & portions
My pork dinner was tough. Our waitress had an attitude.
Great beef Wellington and wonderful atmosphere.
The lobster bisque was the soup of the day and it was watery and tasteless. My salmon was good but my husband was not satisfied with his filet. We used to go to this restaurant often years ago and thought we would go back. The setting and atmosphere is great, but the girl who sat us wasn't very helpful and our waiter spent as little time as possible with us. I thought the service was not up to standard for this type of restaurant.
Absolutely great food and service. My wife and I both had the ribeye steak, mine med and my wife was med well and they both were cooked just right. Bread was outstanding! Will definitely go back again.
My dining partner requested a booster seat so she could put her leg up as she needs to have it raised. They said they could bring one but never did. She was miserable during her meal.
Our server was friendly and helpful. Our food was hot and flavorful.
Beautiful Views, nice Atmosphere and wood burning fireplace. It Got busy on a Tuesday around 6:30pm.
special gorgonzola penne-could not taste any gorgonzola. Veal Madiera was lacking in flavor. well whiskey was $7.
The service was excellent and the food prepared just the way we wanted.
server #1 was excellent and most pleasant.
Ambiance was exceptional; historic and romantic. However, cut of ribeye was excessively fatty and lukewarm. Cut excess fat off and was left with 1/2 size steak. Ribeyes tend to be fatty but was over charred on the outside and over priced for the quality of steak served.
Great restaurant, friendly atmosphere, real fire, cozy, knowledgeable wait staff
Food was great! Restaraunt was crowded and quite noisy. Service was very good.
The food was delicious, as always, and the service was great!
Prime rib was delicious and cooked perfectly. Jumbo scam pies were very good also. Nice romantic dinner. Only small complaint was it was a little chilly in restaurant.
The apple/onion and lobster bisque soups were excellent. The Panko coated shrimp was also excellent as was the cheesy bread. My dining partners enjoyed the bar drinks, prime rib steak, Chicken Marsala and vegetarian pasta as well. Our only complaint was that the service left much to be desired; our server was unresponsive to our requests for additional olives and bread, We had to flag down a "runner" after waiting almost half an hour to get those items. Also the noise level was such that conversation was difficult, That might have been because we were seated near the bar room,
My entre was undercooked and full of grisle. My friends was barely warm. I snet mine back to be cooked furnther but they gave me another piece which was barely better and still mostly fat and grisle (I ordered the prime rib). My frend ordered the beef wellington which was not warm nor was the pastry crust cooked thru. They gave us free desserts to compensate us. Two of us ordered the creme brule which was ice box cold! We will not be oing back anytime soon.
The amount on my cc was half of the bill. My friend enjoyed her meal...the pork tenderloin with apple, etc. stuffing was dry and tasteless..I won't order it again.
Great food. Great atmosphere.
