Authentic food from Guadalajara. Taste divine Red Snapper filet one of the best we ever had. Go there and enjoy. Already sent 2 people in and they loved it also.

We eat here often. Food is always excellent; however, wait staff is always very inattentive.
years ago it was great. and then it was'nt for a while. then it got better. now it is bad again. Used to love the steak fajitas. the ones we had tonight did not even resemble steak fajitas. no peppers and onions. just mushy steak and some kind of gravy like sauce. bland. no fun to eat.
The food is good. The service is slow because they are short of waiters.
We love Zapata's! We are so lucky that it is in our beautiful little downtown historic area in Norcross. The food is delicious and made with care. They never bat an eye if you special order items because it is all made fresh. Plus their Tejano margarita is the best!!!

Kids grilled cheese was burned, so they had to make a second one, which came much later than the rest of the meal. Waitress comped this item, however, which was appreciated. Other child got mini corn dogs and they were burned on one side as well.
Our waitress was wonderful & kept our drinks filled. She made recommendations and helped us decide what to order.

Food was quality was good. Elevated flavors available. Wide variety of beverages. Service was nice, but a little awkward. They kept trying to steer the party to more authentic options rather than simply taking the order.
ATTENTIVE BUT NOT HOVERING WAIT STAFF
The atmosphere is very nice, and the waiters are attentive. Unfortunately, the food is EXTREMELY HEAVY. Maybe we chose the wrong items on the menu but there it is.
Everything was fantastic. It started off with service a little slow. But, after the meal, it was well worth the wait.

The server was very helpful, and very polite. She asked about our preferences and suggested several dishes to try. We ended up having Enchillada del Mollo and Pollo Tabascuescan -- which were wonderful.
The menu has a different flare from other Mexican restaurants. Our server, Jammie, explained the dishes and was very accommodating to our requests.

Zapatas was Amazing!!! The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was great. Our server was very knowledgable and every suggestion he made was excellent. Ask for Jaime!
We have been to Zapatas previously at their first location and this one. One of their finer dishes is the crepes poblano. The crepes this time were drowning in the sauce. It was ok tasting but totally unappetizing. None of us finished our dinners and the prices have gone way up. Don't think we will return

Great food, good service although they brought out 3 meals and it was another 3-4 minutes before the 4th meal came out. There was an additional margarita on our bill that we did not order, but the waiter took it off when we asked about it.

Great food; like a gourmet mexican restaurant; especially loved the Mole dishes.
The chicken fajitas with corn tortillas was excellent. The server kept my tea glass full - which is a full time job. Definitely a great experience!

Like the food. Your waitstaff just does not get it. No warm welcome when you enter. No thank you. You miss sense of warmth. Your waiters are flippant. If I owned your place I would focus on the manager walking around and actually talking to the guests. All in all you have great food and your waitstaff is cold and there is no presence of management. I predict you will go under because of the above. Get rid of your waitstaff and put in a manager that is warm, who cares and who trains your staff to do more than take an order and lay down plates. I am giving you this feedback because I care and hope you get it.

The only negative was when Zapata Management was notified of our use of the Restaurant.com gift card - they didn't seem too pleased and while they honored it, it did make our table feel a bit awkward/guilty for using a $25 off gift card/coupon. Also, the lunch experience wasn't super-fast - although well worth the wait, I wouldn't visit Zapata if I was on a tight schedule.

I received my Restaurant.com certificate for Mother's Day. I had just printed it off the night before we ate there. For some reason I was told the certificate had already been used. I don't know how that could have happened. But they accepted it anyway.
wonderful restaurant...not the usual fare at mexican restaurants and the service is excellent
great menu...not your typicalmexican (american) entrees. true to the culture of mexico.
Fish was not thoroughly cooked... Had to send itback...Took a very long time to get a new one and then it was so tough it was not edible.
