We ate about 4 p.m. to be day after Christmas and had the restaurant to ourselves since they open at 3. It was fun to see the staff kick into gear. The bread was hot with oil and garlic. Everything was very fresh. It was a great time to be there.
Upon arrival, we were greeted as if we have been friends and known each other for years. I love that! Family owned, so they make you feel comfortable right from the start. The food...just really PERFECT. Each dish was fresh, from scratch,& we over-ordered to try more dishes. Portions are large, so you can share. Overall, the vibe, the hospitality, the food, the price, all of it was a wonderful first experience. We will for sure be returning. :)

The server was responsive and listened to our requests despite the noisy table across from us. Our order and extra service for napkins, etc. was our waiter's best! The ordered food was delivered fast and correctly. The place is too noisy for a quiet conversation but can be good fun for the right group! This was our best dining experience at El Maguey

The food is very authentic traditional Greek and simply delicious. Great portions full of flavor. Also a good assortment of other dishes if your palate is not up for Greek food. The staff was always there for us and the owner was there to greet and chat also. This is a place I highly recommend and will be back to.
food was good, but it took forever to get it. I don't know if that was because they were understaffed - only 1 waiter running around. But we did notice another table got their food before us even though we got there before them.

We enjoyed our food very much but the service was painfully slow. We went kind of early and there was only one other table with customers. The owner waited on us and was very friendly but hardly anyone else was there, so I don't know why it took so long to get our food. I might give Zorba's one more try to see if the service is super slow all the time or just that once.
Awesome place and the food was superior. We will return to try more of their dishes.

We love Zorba's Greek Cafe! We're from Utah and have a favorite Greek restaurant up there. We've never found anything to replace what we've missed until now.
The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. They have live music. The whole experience is wonderful. This restaurant is in our top 5 places to eat in chandler.
Flaming cheese was amazing. We had two! The pita is warm, soft and mouthwatering.
Last week was my first dine there, and then we went back on Friday night because we liked it so much.

My husband had the lamb shank and I had the lemon chicken. Both the entree and the side dishes were DELICIOUS. We enjoyed talking with the owner, who was our server. We have already told our family and friends about our experience and suggested they try it. We plan on returning and bringing friends with us.

I read on other reviews that the Lamb shank was excellent so my husband had that while I tried the garlic shrimp. Neither disappointed. They were both excellent! Next I go I'm getting the lamb shank so I do not have to share it. It was delicious!The service was excellent as well. We'll definitely return!!!!

Service and follow-up was great. Wait staff explained the Greek dishes to us for a adventure in dining.
Our server, Kinda, was pleasant, gave us good advice, and efficient. The food was perfectly prepared, from the crisp cold salad to the very fudgy chocolate cake.

This is s favorite restaurant for us. The food is delicious and fresh. The service is exceptional.
It was alarming we were the only patrons there but I did see a few takeout orders get picked up. They have great food just feel the restaurant itself needs a major remodeling project sometime soon.

Friendly staff and excellent food
Due to the rain the restaurant was very quiet and we weren't sure what to expect but the owner's son was very nice and food we ordered came out at reasonable time. We had Pesto Hummus which was very good we enjoyed the small Greek salad that came with our Lamb shank and the Musaka which was even better then we expected. We will go back and try something else next time for sure.
Dinner with friends. Had good service with an engaging server. The restaurant wasn't crowded since we dined early so we had his full attention. Our lamb shank was cooked to perfection. We had fun and enjoyed the whole experience.
